The DJI Mavic Pro is DJI’s most successful aircraft to date. With the ability to quickly deploy the aircraft and its overall strong build the Mavic Pro has caught the attention of many enterprise users such as police, military and inspection companies. DJI have now introduced the Mavic 2 Enterprise Drone with unique features tailor made for the security and inspection industries. With additional accessories such as a spotlight, speaker and strobe light the Mavic 2 Enterprise is certainly of great value for enterprise users.

Mavic 2 Enterprise - Upgraded Features

 ADS-B/Airsense

DJI Airsense allows enterprise pilots to get a better understanding of their surrounds by warning of nearby aircraft.

Airsense is a integrated received that warns the pilot in command of nearby ADS-B signals from nearby manned aircraft. One of the best cases uses for this technology is during wildfire fighting. Drones are a great tool for firefighters to gather data on fires & aid them in fighting. These types of mission often see manned aircraft working closely with UAVs, this type of technology allows the Mavic Enterprise to remain a safe addition in the sky.

DJI Airsense

Self heating batteries

The new self heating batteries allow the Mavic Enterprise Dual to perform reliably in adverse weather conditions as low as -10 degrees.

DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise

Discreet Mode

The Mavic 2 Enterprise Dual has the ability to turn off the lights during flight for security missions allowing the Mavic not be detected from a distance. This mode is activated through the Mobile application device and DJI Pilot software.

GEO- Tagged Footage

See image below.

On the left hand side of the screen you'll notice the photos or videos are geotagged and they also include a time/date stamp allowing the evidence to be used in court. Being able to reference historical data is also very useful for surveyors.

Zoom Capability

The Mavic 2 Enterprise has the ability to zoom in 2 X optically and 3 X digitally. Great for inspections.

Password protection

A new security feature allows you to lock the drone using your unique security password. Useful for law enforcement agencies.

Mission specific cases

  • Powerline Inspections
  • Police (Indoors & Outdoors)
  • Internal boiler room inspections
  • Security
  • Search & Rescue

The Mavic 2 Enterprise will at a later date include a FLIR lepton based thermal camera. Basically a FLIR 160 Duo sensor used with the Mavic 2 Enterprise Drone. For more information on the enterprise mavic 2 in south africa contact us at sales@commercialdrones.co.za.

My Speculation on 12/12/2018: The new Mavic Pro Enterprise also known as the Neutron will feature FLIR latest thermal core, The Neutrino™ core models are broken up into the SWaP+C series FLIR Neutrino LC and two FLIR Neutrino Performance series cores, the SX12 and QX. These are the lightest FLIR core units to date which in my opinion make them a possible candidate for the DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise / Neutron drone. This unit will be called the Mavic Enterprise Dual with FLIR Lepton thermal camera

Additional Specs:

[1] Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing includes left/right, up/down, and forward/backward obstacle sensing. Sensing for left/right directions is only available in ActiveTrack or Tripod Mode.

Omnidirectional Obstacle Sensing does not fully cover the circumference of a 360-degree arc. And left and right obstacle sensing system only works in specific modes and environments.

DJI warranty does not cover any loss caused by crashing when flying left or right, even when ActiveTrack or Tripod mode is activated. Please be aware of your surroundings and App notifications when operating the Mavic 2 to ensure safety.

These specs have been determined through tests conducted with the latest firmware. Firmware updates can enhance performance, so updating to the latest firmware is highly recommended.
